After much deliberation, we're selling the trusty Prado and upgrading to a brand new BYD Shark Performance. There is nothing wrong with the Prado but we were missing the creature comforts that come with a new vehicle that we were somewhat used to from the Mini.
While we wait for delivery, I have various things to organise on the Prado to ready it for sale. First up, was putting the third row seats back in. I'd previously removed these to free up some space and for the 50kg of weight savings, however, for sale, they need to go back in, and the custom floor come out.
It is a pretty straight forward job to put the seats back in, you just need to get the order of operations right. I also removed the Starlink wiring while I had it all apart.
I need to also give it a clean, inside and out, mount the basket on the roof racks (I won't be needing it so it can go with the car). And work out if I take out the spotty harness, or just remove the spotlights themselves and buy a new harness for the Shark. (I'm moving the Lightforce Beast spotlights to the Shark, they're brand new, and the best lights you can get).
All the other additions will stay on the vehicle, so it will keep the roof racks, bull bar, ARB air-compressor, and Icom CB.
That's about it for today, there'll be more posts as more is done, and build posts for the Shark when it arrives.
