A short entry this time. One the weekend, we bought a mattress topper (7cm thick memory foam style thing) and so we figured we'd best test out the bed again to see if this solved the comfort issues. I also adjusted the adjustable slats to make them softer.
Overall, the verdict was that it was a great improvement. Neither of us woke up sore, although by morning I realised the slat adjustment was probably not right. So I've adjusted them again. We're now almost ready for a test run somewhere. Just waiting on a couple more bits coming via mail order, and for the weather to be ok. Weather is why we're not trying for the coming weekend, 'cause no-one wants their first van trip to be in the rain.
The only other update, is that I've run the power lead for the starlink mini to the roof of the Prado, which only involved a small bit of filing, and enlarging one existing hole behind some paneling in the rear of the vehicle and two custom grommets. This will allow us to mount the starlink mini to the roof racks and have it available when driving for navigation, and passenger internet when we're in areas of non-existent telstra service.
